Typically this will be implemented by following a multi-step process as outlined below, although not always in this order and not necessarily every step. The approach is adjusted for your business’s individual needs.

Most engagements begin with a Telecom Audit which allows us to get a clear picture of which services and systems you currently have and how they are used. This will also include a comparison of all pricing versus your existing contracts to look for billing errors.

This is followed by a Telecom Optimization step during which the recommendations developed from the findings of the audit are implemented. This might involve eliminating services which are no longer utilized or replacing them with a more cost effective alternative. We will negotiate the best pricing available on vendor plans and combine that with detailed follow through with suppliers for a smooth implementation.

In general these first two steps utilize the Contingency Model in which our compensation is based strictly on the savings we generate for you. If there are no savings, you do not owe us any payment.

In many cases it may also be desirable to implement a Telecom Expense Management (TEM) strategy which involves the use of specialized software to improve the visibility and control of your telecom expenses and assets. We will help you find the right software and work with you to facilitate implementation. This is an important step, especially for larger businesses, to ensure that the benefits of optimization are maintained in the long run.

Finally at some point during our engagement there may be a need for Project Consulting to assist in developing plans for strategic and tactical projects in order to enhance your telecom services to meet your changing business needs. This may include upgrading your phone system or migrating to VoIP.
